Frequently Asked Questions
Real questions. Real answers. No corner-cutting.
🚿 Do I really need to clean my solar panels?
Absolutely. Rain isn’t enough—especially in the Imperial Valley where dust bakes on like oven grease. Dirty panels can lose up to 30% efficiency. We’ve seen garden hose jobs and even pressure washers (yes, seriously). That just smears the grime or damages the seal.
Mr. Juniper uses ultra-purified water and solar-safe brushes—no soap, no pressure, no shortcuts. Just maximum output and a spotless finish.
🔄 Do you use rotary brushes for solar cleaning?
Nope—and that’s on purpose.
Rotary brushes might look cool, but they’re often too aggressive. Most panel manufacturers recommend soft-bristle, non-rotating brushes.
We don’t use pressure-powered spinners or drill brushes. We use safe, approved methods: carbon fiber poles, RO/DI water, and pressure-free rinsing. Your panels will sparkle—and last longer.
🪟 What about windows? Do you use chemicals?
Nope. We clean windows with the same ultra-purified RO/DI water used in labs. That means spot-free glass without harsh soaps, ammonia, or cloudy sprays.
Exterior jobs? Usually water-fed poles. Interior? Sometimes squeegees. It’s all about the right tool, the right technique, and no streaks—ever.
🧼 How often should I clean my panels or windows?
Solar Panels: Every 6 months (more often near farms or dusty roads)
Windows: Every 2–3 months
Letting hard water dry on surfaces creates permanent etching. Don’t wait until it’s too late—stay on schedule.
🏡 Do you clean both residential and commercial?
We sure do. Homes, storefronts, medical offices, HOAs, malls—we clean it all.
Our ladder-free system handles up to 3+ stories safely from the ground, so you get:
Faster job times
No risky roof climbing
Fewer people on-site
Cleaner results, safer process
💧 What’s so special about your system?
We use a 4-stage RO/DI filtration system to reduce water to 0 TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) before it touches your glass or panels.
Why it matters?
In the Imperial Valley, tap water can hit 700+ TDS. Two-stage setups or DI-only tanks let minerals through—which cause spots, haze, and etching.
We test every batch. If the water’s not perfect, we don’t use it. Period.
💠 What’s TDS? And why should I care?
TDS = Total Dissolved Solids (minerals, metals, junk).
Cleaning with high-TDS water is like rinsing with mineral soup. You’ll get:
❌ White spots
❌ Streaks
❌ Permanent damage
We hit 0 TDS every time. If your cleaner isn’t talking about it... they’re probably not testing it.
💸 How much does it cost?
We price by pane (windows) and panel (solar)—no vague “flat rate” guesswork.
Minimums:
Residential Windows: $120 (15 panes)
Solar Panel Cleaning: $150 (15 panels)
Storefronts: $30 per stop
Transparent. Fair. Scaled to the job. No sketchy “$99 specials.”
🕐 How long does a job take?
Most residential jobs take 1–2 hours. We’re fast and thorough—because we show up with the right tools and the right plan.
A lot of our clients call us to fix what someone else “cleaned” last month.
🧽 Do you offer pressure washing?
Yes—but only where it belongs.
We safely pressure wash:
Driveways
Patios
Trash bin pads
Storefront walkways
We do not pressure wash windows or panels. Ever.
